Another game from the creator of Pokemon Realidea System, this game is amazing and easily one of my favorites. It’s not a standard Pokémon game, while it uses the same gameplay, it adopts a more roguelike format. Held items, outside of berries, have all become items that affect your entire party that you collect from chests (the amount you can hold at once increases as you progress). Pokemon don’t level up, essentially being level 50 from the start. To make them stronger, you can get achievements that increase the EVs of your party, and use heart scales you collect through dungeons to evolve them (ranging from 15 - 30 scales depending on the evolution stage). The story is great, the characters are great, the ending is great, it’s all great. The art is somehow even better than Realidea System, which if that game had any issues, the art was far FAR from one of them.
This game is easily one of the best for me, and one of the only issues I have is that I didn’t have more time to spend with these characters. The main story runs for roughly 10 - 15 hours depending on how much you grind and use speed up (for reference, I got to the final boss at roughly 10 hours. Though, I ended up losing and grinded for evolutions since my team wasn’t fully evolved, and needed some better moves. This ended up putting me at around 14 - 15 hours by the end of the main story).

It’s a moment of confusion and loathing that most of us have experienced. You’re in a shop. It’s time to pay. You reach for your purse or wallet and take out your last note. Something about it doesn’t feel quite right. It’s the wrong shape or the wrong colour and the design is odd too and the note just doesn’t seem right and … By now you’ve realised: oh shit! It’s the dreaded Scottish banknote! Tentatively, shyly – or briskly, brazenly, according to character – you proffer the note. One of three things then happens. If you’re lucky, the tradesperson takes the note without demur. Unusual, but it does sometimes happen. If you’re less lucky, he or she takes the note with all the good grace of someone accepting delivery of a four-week-dead haddock. If you’re less lucky still, he or she will flatly refuse your money. And here’s the really annoying part: he or she would be well within his or her rights, because Scottish banknotes are not legal tender. ‘Legal tender’ is defined as any financial instrument which cannot be refused in settlement of a debt. Bank of England notes are legal tender in England and Wales, and Bank of England coins are legal tender throughout the UK, but no paper currency is. The bizarre fact of the matter is that Scottish banknotes are promissory notes, with the same legal status as cheques and debit cards.
